Glenn Dallender is the founder and owner of SING2014, based in Tunbridge Wells.

He has spent more than forty years in the music industry, both performing music and teaching a variety of students, including those in performance arts and those pursuing solo careers.

After gaining a degree and teaching music and performing arts at K-College, Glenn's interests became focused on the intrinsic benefits of singing.

During his career, Glenn became aware that more and more students were attending with increasing issues relating to stress and lack of confidence. The burdens of modern life were essentially inhibiting students reaching their potential. Whilst the 'nerves' and stresses teenagers suffer are enormous, adults can suffer similar difficulties in their personal lives and in the workplace.

For twenty years or so, research has shown the considerable health and well-being benefits of singing, particularly in relation to stress relief and relaxation, to accessing deep memory.

Glenn has spent several years developing 'Stressbuster Sessions' to overcome these debilitating problems.

Numerous international studies have reported the following benefits of singing in groups:

  • increased self-confidence, empowerment, wellbeing and interpersonal skills

  • a general lifting of the spirits and a sense of joy and accomplishment

  • lowered feelings of social isolation, depression and anxiety

  • deeper social and friendship networks.

Stressbuster Sessions focus on breathing techniques and vocal excercises that are unique. The meditative nature of these exercises has shown over time that stress is reduced, confidence is improved and singing abilities are enhanced. Stressbuster Sessions are fun, enjoyable and suitable for all.

Experience has shown that groups attending these sessions form bonds more easily and enjoy attending sessions together. In a corporate environment this bring teams closer together, helping individuals to experience the layers of support needed in a successful group environment.
